Natalie Carter

In 2009, 16-year-old Natalie Carter became the first female British dancer to study at Moscow’s Bolshoi Ballet Academy, with support from the Genesis Foundation.

Summer 2010 brought a work commissioned from Chris Levine by the Genesis Foundation – a light-based cross installed in the former Holy Trinity Church on Marylebone Road in London.

Roxanna Panufnik Roxanna Panufnik

12 years after the Genesis Foundation commissioned Roxanna Panufnik’s Westminster Mass, which contines to be an international success, Roxanna Panufnik has become a composer in demand. Her 40th birthday year featured 18 premieres in nine countries.

Hayley Stobo

In 2010, with the support of the Genesis Foundation, 15-year-old Hayley Stobo from Renfrewshire became the first Scot to receive a place on the full diploma course at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy.

Will Todd Will Todd

Will Todd was born in Durham in 1970. He received an Honours degree in Music from the University of Bristol in 1991 and an MMUS in 1993. Will met Ben Dunwell, librettist, at Bristol University and began their collaboration at that time. Their first Genesis Commission was to write a special piece of music, Among Angels.

Isidora Žebeljan Isidora Žebeljan

Genesis heard and took note of the work of Isidora Žebeljan at the first Genesis Opera Project workshops in 2002. A segment from an early version of her opera, Zora D, was developed and given a presentation.
