An Update on LAMDA Genesis Foundation Scholars

Tom Riley (class of 2005) will be appearing at 9pm tonight (6th September) in the ITV1 drama Bouquet of Barbed Wire alongside Trevor Eve and fellow LAMDA alumnus, Hermione Norris. Meanwhile, Paul Tinto (class of 2010) is currently understudying in the critically acclaimed Black Watch at the Barbican Theatre which will run from 27th November 2010 to 22nd January 2011.

Tom RileyTom Riley will be playing Gavin Sorensen tonight in Bouquet of Barbed Wire on ITV1 at 9pm. A modern reworking of Andrea Newman’s taboo-busting 1970s psychological drama, and adapted by Guy Andrews, Bouquet of Barbed Wire explores the consequences of a father’s obsessive love for his daughter and how secrets once buried in the past return to haunt their lives.

In other LAMDA news, Paul Tinto (pictured right) is currently understudying in the critically acclaimed Black Watch at the Barbican Theatre which will run from 27th November 2010 to 22nd January 2011.

Paul Tinto is undertaking the enormous challenge of understudying five characters in Black Watch, including the lead role of Cammy. Paul is said to be most excited about the challenge, despite having a huge amount of lines to learn! Black Watch is a National Theatre of Scotland production, which returns to the Barbican with a brand new cast following its outstanding success at the 2009 Olivier Awards where the play won four awards including Best New Play.
