Royal Court Theatre Revives Genesis Plays

Wednesday, 5 March 2008 Royal Court Theatre Revives Genesis Plays

Discovering new international voices in the theatre has been one of the central activities of the Genesis Foundation since its earliest days – and we are now celebrating over 10 years of supporting the Royal Court’s International Writers programme as run and developed by Elyse Dodgson.

The Royal Court continued this work with new plays in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs, including the debut in London of a French Canadian play, Bliss, which was developed in the international department with the full support of the Genesis Foundation.

The theatre also revived plays for further runs that were particularly successful and which also have Genesis connections.

The revivals included: Bliss, The Ugly One , Free Outgoing and That Face.
