Rough Cuts August 2011 at The Royal Court

Monday, 4 July 2011

Rough CutsRough Cuts is the Royal Court’s season of work-in-progress, experimental pieces, readings and shorts. Rough Cuts emerges from the year-round activities of the Studio, providing an opportunity for emerging and established artists to develop ideas collaboratively, experimentally and informally.

The Genesis Foundation is supporting "after the spring: new short plays from around the arab world" which is being produced in collaboration with the International department.

Some of the Arab World’s most exciting theatre voices respond to an extraordinary time in the region’s history through specially commissioned short plays in translation.

Writers include Mohammad Al Attar (Syria), Arzé Khodr (Lebanon) and Laila Soliman (Egypt).

Directed by Simon Godwin.

11 and 12 August, Jerwood Theatre Upstairs, 7pm
