Genesis Opera Projects I and II
This early initiative was an international commissioning scheme for young composers and librettists developed in association with Aldeburgh Productions and Almeida Opera.
This project put 11 operas into development over its lifetime. In the end, most of these came to fruition and performance of some sort. Also, Genesis has chosen subsequently to support some of the composers who first came to our attention through this scheme. A key example is Isidora Žebeljan.
