LAMDA Genesis Scholars
To celebrate the success of LAMDA Genesis Foundation scholars, we are pleased to present this documentary which features current second and third year students preparing for their end of year performances alongside Peter James, the Principal of LAMDA.
In 2002, the Genesis Foundation took over the scholarship programme established several years earlier by John Studzinski, the Foundation's chairman, for students at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
"LAMDA is, in my opinion, currently the leading drama school in the UK, " says John Studzinski. "It offers the best all-round training for actors and for associated theatre professionals."
The Genesis LAMDA Bursary covers each scholar's study fees for a full three years and makes a substantial contribution towards living expenses. Potential scholars are selected by LAMDA from its annual student intake and a dedicated judging panel makes its decision on the basis of auditions and interviews.
