To complement the run of A Streetcar Named Desire, the Donmar Warehouse is staging rehearsed readings of two of Tennessee Williams' lesser-known plays on the 14 and 15 September - his final play A House Not Meant to Stand (1982) and an early work Fugitive Kind (1937).
On the 14 September, LAMDA alumnus and former Genesis Foundation Scholar, Tom Riley, will be performing in the reading of, A House Not Meant to Stand, directed by Jamie Lloyd, Associate Director of the Donmar. Other members of the company include: Obi Abili, Alun Armstrong, Felicity Jones, Denis Lawson, Alison Steadman, Tim Steed and Una Stubbs.
Tom was born and brought up in Kent. Before going to LAMDA, he studied English at Birmingham University, graduating with First Class Honours in 2002. He began his studies at LAMDA in the same year and completed the Three-Year BA (Hons) Professional Acting Course in July 2005. During his time there, Tom received the Genesis LAMDA Bursary.
