LAMDA and the Genesis Foundation celebrate the recent successes of its Genesis Scholars

Monday, 1 February 2010

The highly respected and much sought after Genesis LAMDA bursary, awarded each year by LAMDA to exceptional drama students from its annual student intake, continues to produce fantastic results.   Recent successes include:

  • Nikki Julian - stage name: Nick Julian (class of 2009) has landed his first professional acting job in a production of The White Guard by Mikhail Bulgakov on the stage of the Lyttelton at the National Theatre.  Nikki will be starting rehearsals at the end of this month, with the show opening in early March.  For more information about this production please click here.
  • Samuel Barnett (class of 2001) continues to shine and takes the lead role in The Whiskey Taster by James Graham at the Bush Theatre later this month (with fellow LAMDA alumnus, Chris Larkin).  The play runs Wednesday 20th January to Saturday 20th February, and tickets can be purchased here.
  • Ben Aldridge (class of 2008) is currently appearing on BBC 1 in Larkrise to Candleford (with fellow LAMDA alumna, Victoria Hamilton) as the dashing 'Daniel Parish'. His character profile can be found on the BBC's official Larkrise to Candleford webpage.

We are immensely proud of all our Genesis scholars as they continue to achieve such success in the industry.
