Jamie was born and brought up in Essex. He was educated at Mayflower County High School and Thurrock College where he obtained a Diploma in Theatrical and Media Make-Up.
Before coming to LAMDA, Jamie was extensively involved in amateur dramatics and youth theatre in Essex. He participated in numerous productions. His parts included playing Andrea in Galileo and Clive in CloudNine - a role for which he was awarded the Brentwood Theatre Prize for ‘Best Actor Aged 18 and Under’. Jamie has also written and directed plays and short films, including Man and his Box, which appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and the film Destiny, which was produced after Jamie’s script won a Film Council competition for young writers.
In 2005, Jamie completed the LAMDA Foundation Course which he feels gave him anexcellent preparation for the challenges of the Three Year BA (Hons) Professional Acting Course. Jamie subsequently graduated from LAMDA’s Three-Year Acting Course, following two fantastic performances in Comedians and Mixed Up North. Jamie’s first professional acting job in Venice and Bologna was a play called Pirandello.
Jamie is represented by Bradford Willoughby Hutton.
