The composer Isidora Zebeljan, who has composed two Genesis commissions in the past, has a busy Spring coming up. In March 2006, she will be featured at the Croatian National Theatre in Rijeka (Croatia) as both music director and conductor of the Peter Shaffer play Amadeus, working with Slovenian director Tomy Janezic. Also in March, her Genesis commission, The Minstrel's Dance will be played at a concert in Turin in Italy by the RAI Orchesra of Turin, conducted by Lorraine Vaillancourt.
March also sees the premiere of a new composition she has written for London Brass. Called The Ghost from the Pumpkin, this incantation for Brass Quintet will be given in London at the Royal College of Music. On to April 2006, and a concert in Belgrade includes a Dialogue of Composers created jointly with the wonderful Arvo Part. This is to be performed by the Belgrade String Orchestra - Dusan Skovran - and the Belgrade Soloists under conductor Tonu Kaljuste. And in the same month Isidora herself mounts the podium to conduct works by Poulenc and Delage in a concert in Belgrade.
