Isidora Žebeljan named for Fame in 2009 by German paper

The German newspaper, Der Freitag , has listed ten “unknowns” from whom, the say, we should expect to hear much more in the future. Among those receiving the accolade of people to watch is Serbian composer, Isidora Žebeljan.

Listed with politicians from India, an actress from France and the English artist Ryan Gander, Isidora is the only composer named. The article suggests that these are people to watch and  this is the year that they will emerge into more public prominence.  Isidora’s name is becoming well-known all over Europe and she has her plate full of commissions and upcoming premières.
