Blind Date was conceived as an opportunity to match-make six pairs of composers and wordsmiths encouraging them to get together from the worlds of classical music, jazz, hip-hop, folk, film music, film scripts, playwriting, novels, poetry and Children's TV. The results weave six new mini-operas into one electric evening, with the aim of thrilling opera buffs and sceptics alike.

And what will happen on our Blind Date? We will meet George Michael's love-child; a parrot will expose a cheating wife; a catastrophe will be witnessed; a Russian nanny’s nostalgia will end in carnage; critics will lose control and three Canadian houses will remember their past.

Expect: virtuoso singing accompanied by Tête à Tête's superb associate ensemble Chroma, consummate acting and pacy theatrical brilliance.  With Blind Date, Tête à Tête continues to prove that an evening of new opera is a great night out for anyone.
