Isidora Žebeljan Isidora Žebeljan

Genesis heard and took note of the work of Isidora Žebeljan at the first Genesis Opera Project workshops in 2002. A segment from an early version of her opera, Zora D, was developed and given a presentation.

Roxanna Panufnik Roxanna Panufnik

Ten years after the Genesis Foundation commissioned Roxanna Panufnik’s Westminster Mass, which was an international success, Roxanna Panufnik has become a composer in demand. As she turns 40, her year ahead features 15 premieres in five countries.

Jean-Philippe Calvin Jean-Philippe Calvin

Composer, conductor and percussionist, Jean Philippe Calvin, was born in France in 1974. He has eclectic taste and is as happy with contemporary pop music, jazz and musical comedy as he is with formal opera, film music and stage music of all kinds, making him a multi-faceted musician with an interest in every form of music making.

Will Todd Will Todd

Will Todd was born in Durham in 1970. He received an Honours degree in Music from the University of Bristol in 1991 and an MMUS in 1993. Will met Ben Dunwell, librettist, at Bristol University and began their collaboration at that time. Their first Genesis Commission was to write a special piece of music, Among Angels.
